You have really done your homework, what can I say about my friend Rev. Jackson and others.
I have taken the position that we can't worry about who is not "there", but thank God for the ordinary people who do extrordinary things to help. I have given up begging for the help of some black leaders. Everyday on my program I remind listeners,"It is not what Jesse, Julian or this leader or that leader is going to do about it, the question is, what are you going to do?"
We each have to answer that question in our hearts.

My reply was:
Joe, I give credit where credit is due. I have been on the radio and on television about this crisis. I have talked about you and Rev. Fauntroy much to say that you both have been outspoken about this crisis for a long time. I give Al Sharpton credit as well because he went there and saw slavery. And Bobby Rush is my congressman from the 1st district in Illinois. He got arrested at the Sudanese Embassy. Actions speak louder than words. Real leaders act. You are a hero.
Robert Oliver
Joe replied:
We going for divestment now. The State of IL. has millions invested in companies doing business in Sudan. We should have a list on www.sudancampaign.com
