SyBoards :: View topic - Polygamy, should it be legal?: "With the issue of gay marriage seeming to be everywhere in the US at this moment, and gay rights activists trying to get the term marriage changed to be what they feel it should be, does that mean that the law needs to be rewritten to also allow polygamy? It seems rather silly to argue that its fine for consenting same-sex couples to get 'married' but not allow groups of consenting people that same right. Should we change the definition of marriage to allow polygamy because a small group feel that they are being discriminated against? Should the government be force to accept that 3 men want to be married? Or perhaps 3 women?"
