Surely, the right to choose ones own relationships is a basic freedom of all Americans. Constitutional guarantees include the right to 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' as well as 'freedom of religion' and 'freedom of association,' and the implied right to privacy, among other basic human rights. Further, those choosing a plural lifestyle must be accorded equal protection under the law with all other groups and individuals practicing an alternate lifestyle of choice. It is the true belief and position of this movement that plural marriage is thus protected by the Constitution and that lesser laws against it are unconstitutional. "
